THE SURVEY WENT ON TWO SIGNIFICANT SCHOOL IN ASIA
WHICH
TOOK A VIGOROUS EFFECT ON SCHOOL IDEAS SPECILLY
FOR CHILDREN. Design can serve as a tool for change and
innovation and facilitate development in institutions, workplaces
and organizations SO THE DESIGN IDEAS & CREATIVE
DICISIONS MADE THOSE SCHOOLS DISTINCTIVE THAN
OTHER TYPICALS. AS WE MUST KEEP IN MIND THAT THE
NEED OF THE SCHOOL IS
CLASSROOM ARRANGEMENT (CIKAL)
PERHAPS CHANGED FOR DIFFERENT CRITERIAS.

THE MAIN STRUCTURAL SYSTEM IS Post
Lintel. THE STRUCTURE CONVEYS ALL LOADS
TO THE GROUND. THERE ARE INSULATING
CAVITY WALLS WHICH ASSURE LESS NOISE & SEATINGS SPACE OF AUDITORIUM
HEAT.

space - and so maintaining
a link with nature in the SWIMMING POOL & PLAYGROUND
urban context of Jakarta
- was the guiding principle
of this design. The school
occupies two blocks: one
contains classrooms, the
other a multipurpose hall.
The classroom block extends
to the rear of the site, tracing
an angular outline defined by
existing trees. The multipurpose CLASSROOM EXTERIOR PLAYING ZONE
hall is positioned so as to shield
the classrooms from the noise
of the road. A swimming pool is
set on a play hill at the eastern

& USER FRIENDLY FOR AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
THE SCALE OF THE COMPLEX SHOULD BE
JUXTAPOSED FOR USERS COMFORT .
CONNECTING BRIDGE VIEW FROM ROAD CHILDREN LIKE TO USE RAMPS & STAIRS. SO
THE RISER OF THE STAIR SHOULD BE 7 SO THAT
ACCIDENTS WILL OCCURE LESS.
LIGHT REFERS TO AESTHETICAL VIEWS BUT
BUSKETBALL COURT PROPER AIR VENTILATION IS MORE IMPORTANT

THAN THAT.
ENERGY EFFICIECY IS VITAL FOR OUR CONTEXT.
DESIGNER SHOULD KEEP IN MIND THAT TROPICAL
CLIMATE REFERS TO SOME MATERIAL WHICH ARE
