THE PAST PERFECT
Indicates that an action was completed (finished or "perfected") at some
point in the past before something else happened. This tense is formed with
the past tense form of "to have" (HAD) plus the past participle of the verb
(which can be either regular or irregular in form):
She had finished her homework. ( Ella haba terminado su tarea)
I had met him before you introduced us.
( Lo conoc antes de que nos presentaras)
THE PAST PERFECT
The structure of the Past Perfect tense is:

I had worked for my uncle.


She had finished her homework
THE PAST PERFECT

I had not worked for my uncle.


She had not finished her homework.
THE PAST PERFECT

Had you worked for my uncle?


Had she finished her homework?
THE PAST PERFECT

What had they said that made him so angry?


Why had he agreed to work for that salary?
