for Emergency Care

GROUP 5
ANXIETY
People may hesitate because of nervousness.
This is a normal reaction but always remember to trust
your training and do the right things at the right time.

GUILT
As a person, you cannot guarantee if the patient
will live or fully recover but have confidence that
everything that can be done will be done.

RESPONSIBILITY
People may hesitate because of the idea of
being sued. Good Samaritan Laws have been put to
encourage people to come to the aid of others.
FEAR OF IMPERFECT
PERFORMANCE
Dont be afraid of mistakes while providing
adequate care, adequate care is always better that
perfect care withheld. Something is better than
nothing.

FEAR OF INFECTION
People also hesitate because of the possibility of
being infected by the patients disease or health
problems, this should not stop you from providing CPR
or emergency care. Your training includes learning to use
protective barriers to minimize the risk of infection, by
using these barriers your unlikely to get infeected.

Do not abandon the patient once you
begin care.
The exception to this is if you must do so
to protect yourself from danger.
