5.1. Identify social policy at the local, state, and
federal level that impacts well-being, service
delivery, and access to social services.
Local Policy: Every Minute Counts Cumberland County Schools
Truancy Mediation and Court Cases
Not being fully supported with in the court system as cases from last year
still have not been heard. CCS does not provide social workers with lawyers.
Federal and State Policy: Local taxes = School funding (School Gerrymander)

More funding for public school buses in order for students with low-income to
participate in after school activities.
More funding for after school programs that are not sports-related.
Repeal, cut or amend Common Core and how it is implemented.
