 In 2005, a memorandum creating a Study Team to determine the
financial feasibility and socio-economic viability of establishing a
hospital was issued by Mayor Noel Rosal

Legazpi City Hospital was conducted and the construction was
initiated.

VISION
By 2020, the Legazpi City Hospital is the center of excellence in the provision of
high quality health care services for Legazpeños anchored on the strong
commitment of innovative, ethical, competent and unified workforce. Legazpi City
Hospital shall be self-reliant through sustainable inclusive growth, strong leadership
and relevant multi-sectoral linkages.

Legazpi City Hospital commits to provide high quality and safe health care services
through effective leadership, strong teamwork and continuous education
supported by advanced health and information technologies to meet the health
needs of all Legazpeños.

FUNCTIONS
 CURE is referring to the management and treatment of patient’s
illness provided by licensed medical and allied medical
professionals.
 CARE is the provision of direct bedside care to patient by
nurses, midwives and nursing attendants.
 SUPPORT includes the direct and indirect services provided to
patients, clients, and personnel such as manpower, finances,
supplies and materials, physical plant and facilities, healthcare
equipment, technical and skilled works, security maintenance of
cleanliness and sanitation and other requirements necessary for
the effective and efficient delivery of quality health care services.

MY FUNCTION
As Administrative Officer V:
Plans and directs the implementation of policies pertaining to administrative and
financial management and operations of the hospital.
Ensures the provisions of uninterrupted logistic support to effectively and efficiently
delivery quality service.
Provides technical assistance to the Chief of Hospital in the promulgation and formulation
of policies and standard operating procedures and strategies to improve the hospital
system and its operation.
Provides direction in the conduct of continuous manpower development programs and
researches to upgrade the standard of hospital operations and recommends changes
to improve the work system.
Recommends approval of appointments, staff assignment, disciplinary and other
personnel actions.
Directs the maintenance of the physical conditions of the buildings, facilities equipment
and determines proper space utilization.
 Administrative Officer V:
Plans and directs purchase and inventory control of required
resources.
Directs the management and maintenance of hospital
information system.
Directs the preparation and submission of required reports
and official communication.
Reviews and signs/initials financial reports and other
documents.
Identifies and recommends the need for revision of policies,
systems and procedures.
Monitors programs/ projects and activities.
Maintains good working relationship.
