The Impact of having Extracurricular

Activities in DCCP
 In school there are lots of activities that every
individual can participate to gain knowledge
and skills it will help to develop the physical
and mental aspects of the students. It will
progress the whole body such as physical,
emotional and social aspects of the
individual. They will learn useful new skills
from their chosen activity, and in integrating
these activities into their everyday school
lives.
 In all levels of school the importance of
having extracurricular activities is to enhance
more their knowledge and skills but
sometimes it can be difficult for students to
see just how the extra time and dedication
will benefit them.
 1. What are the importance of having
extracurricular in school?
 2. What are the causes of effects of joining
extracurricular activities in DCCP?
 3. What are the efficient activities to be
conducted in order to increase students’
performance?
 Ecological Systems Theory
-provides a framework understanding one’s
environment by dividing it into levels or systems that
interact and affect one another
 Capital Theory
-has been applied extracurricular activities as a way to
explain the social benefits of participation.
 Social Control Theory
-states that involved and connected students are less
likely to exhibit deviant behaviour or drop out of
school
 Extracurricular Activities are one of the subsystem of
training process. They directly responsible for the
formation of skills of special significant relationship,
norms, values, rules, attitude motivations, method
and socially valuable humanistic attitude towards
people, society and the world.
 The researchers want to prove how extracurricular
activities affect students and his or her performance
in school. They also want to know how the
extracurricular activities will raise the school.
 The target place of the study is within the
school of DCCP Baguio. Its target population
are the students and staff of the school.
 The beneficiaries of the study are the
students, staff and the school itself.

 Researchers want to recommend to the management of the
school to use this research as a basis on implementing
extracurricular activities so that the students in the school
will be more competitive.

activities and expanding its target population and study new
aspect to produce new knowledge.

to perform well in academic performances.
 The most efficient activity to be conducted in order
to increase students’ performance is Filipino Club.
