Tangub City in Misamis Occidental lighted up its “Christmas Symbol Festival 2017”
with a theme “Discover The World in Tangub City”.
This years Festival was even more special as the City kicked-off for the 25 th year of
the Christmas Symbol Festival. This festival is considered as one of the crown jewels of
the city.
Department of the Tourism (DOT) Assistant Secretary for Media Relations Events
Frederick Alegre said that celebration has allowed us to express our gratitude of the
Almighty God as it served as a channel for us to be reminded the value of sharing,
caring and loving our brothers and sisters especially this Yuletide season.
One of the festival goal is to showcase the Tangubanon creativity and ingenuity
through the construction of landmarks from all over the world. For the 25 th year they
represent the core programs and participants of Tangub especially the Christmas
Symbol Festival and Miss Tangb City Tourism.

OBJECTIVES
The 25th Tangub City Christmas Symbol Events is done every year of officially open the 50 th day
Celebration of Christmas it specifically aims to;
> Attract visitors or tourists to visit the city at the same time raise the local economy and,
> Associate the city of Tangub as a Christmas Capital of the Philippines.
CONCEPT & THEME
CONCEPT
Christmas Lighting refers to the lighting in the park during Christmas season. It has now become a huge
attraction to the residents and visitors of the place. It is done on the first day of December, where different
offices/departments and barangays come together to string up beautiful lights.
To conclude this magnificent event, the spectators will witness an amazing view of fireworks that will
light up the night sky.
Here in Tangub City, the event takes place in the City Plaza.

ACTION PLAN
Traffic Jams We will request the City Government for traffic enforcers. We might
also request radio announcing regarding the closed roads for the
event
Security of the place We will request the City Government for the assistance of the PNP
and Barangay Tanods
Security of the guests We will ask the City Mayor for residential accommodation. We will
also request for additional security and transportation for the guest
that will serve them all throughout their visit.
Power Interruption We will ask the City Government for the cooperation of MOELCI for
this matter.
WEAKNESSESS and THREATS ACTION
Weather Conditions We will at least secure the stage for the guests of the said event and
inform the public that the event will continue rain or shine. We will
check the weather forecast for the week and will install Cloud Breaker
if possible
