Ghotit - Assistive Technology
Ghotit is a selection of apps designed for students with dyslexia or other learning
disabilities that hinder their writing. Through various apps it can learn from the
mistakes the user makes and personalizes itself through its suggestions for errors. It can
also check through the passage’s context, predict words, and has TTS software, spell-
check, and a dictionary.

A district school license for Ghotit for up to 100 Windows/Mac computers is $2300.

Nearpad - Emerging Technology
Nearpad is a lesson planning/launching

service that can be used in the classroom to

create lessons from existing templates and adjust

them accordingly to the teacher’s wishes.

This can be used to project lessons to a whole classroom and record student
answers/participation and give back feedback.
Newpad
This can be used in any educational setting to
appeal to students with a wide array of learning
styles and further “flip” the modern classroom to
personalize lessons to a student and teacher’s
specific needs.

Additional content includes the ability to create


virtual field trips, 3D objects, quizzes, polls,
open-ended questions, and post-session reports.

These can be used at the leisure of the student


depending on what they may prefer if the teacher
provides the option.

Puppet Pals HD - Innovative Uses
Puppet Pals HD is a mobile app that can be used to create animated comics and movies with
audio. These apps use your real life movements to “move” the user selected characters in
the app. This can be used for various educational purposes that inspire student creativity
to add onto a lesson assignment.

Content includes being able to use photos for characters and backgrounds, image
transformation capabilities, a wide character selection including politicians, and a
director’s pass to unlock additional content.

The app is free but includes in-app purchases. The director’s pass is $3.99 and singular
additional content is $0.99 each.
