THE MANIZALES FAIR
 The Manizales Fair ,is the largest, most
important and emblematic fair in the
Colombian city of Manizales. Around
the Bullfighting Festival that attracts
great national and international figures
with shows typical of the authentic
fiesta brava ,the Manizales Fair
recognized for its bullfighting season,
its events, concerts, exhibitions, and the
International queen of Coffee contest,
parades, musical performances of the
national folklore.
 HISTORY OF THE FAIR
 The first fair took place in 1951 on the occasion of the
city’s first 100 years and was created in the style of
the feria of Sevilla in Spain. So many customs from the
Sevilla Fair are imitated that the Manizales Fair
occupies an entire week.

 This is the fair’s inaugural event.
 The International queen
of Coffee contest.

The contest is one of the

most important events of
the Fair. It Gather
thousands of people every
year to see the
representatives of beauty,
compete for the title to the
International Coffee Queen.
BULLFIGHTING SEASON
 This one is also have a strong presence at the
festival. Prominant national and international
matadors will take part in events including a bull
run on Monday, and Friday’s bullfighting festival.
THE NATIONAL FESTIVAL OF TROVA

 The National Festival of

trova, which are songs
sung in verse and
improvised between two
contestants. The
participants arrive from
different regions of
Colombia, to participate
for the title to the best
troubadour.
THE ARTISAN FAIR
 The artisan fair in the center of
Fairs and Exhibitions, a sample
of several parts of the world,
like Egypt, Pakistan, India,
Indonesia, Iran, Bolivia, Japan,
among others. At the same time,
at the Nubia Airport there is a
cultural program that opens the
doors to other latitudes.
 THE PARADE OF THE YIPAOS

 The Parade of the Yipao, is an exhibition of Jeep

Willys vehicles, make a parade through the main
roads of the city.
