All About Me
 Family:
 Danny- husband
 Drew, Meg,
 Zeb, Aubrey, and Lupin
 Two crazy cats
 Background:
 I grew up in Richmond, Va. Moved to Memphis in 1986.
 I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree
in Elementary Education. GO REBELS!!
 My experience:
 I was an assistant for 12 years in second grade before
returning to school to finish my degree. I taught eight years in
first grade then two years in third before returning back to
second grade.
 My Assistant:
 Ms. Susan Savage- Second year at Overpark. She loves the
students and is eager to help in the process of progressing the
students to third grade.
School Policies
 School Safety
 All visitors report to office – other doors locked from
outside
 Please have ID
 Bus Passes -Note if there is a change- Must have buss
pass to ride the 1st time riding
 Tardies & Check Outs
 School Starts 8:25 Tardy After 8:30
 Car Riders dismiss 3:15 Bus Riders 3:20
 Students must be present 67% of the day to be marked as
present. (2 hours and 17 min)
 Conferences- M, T, W, F 10:10-10:55 or before school (No
Thursday conferences due to grade level meetings)

 When turning in any money, PLEASE label


what the money is for. No money will be
accepted unless with a note. Thank you!!! 

 Daily Folder- sent home daily. Check and return everyday!!
 Homework- packet returned on Friday.

 Come home every Wednesday and are due the next day
 All papers and tests are yours to keep/Sign and Return
conduct/grade sheet

 Lunch- $2.75
 Extra Milk- .50

 Breakfast Daily- (7:55-8:15) $1.25
 Reading/class $15.00 due Sept. 13
 t shirt fee $6.00
 $Scholastic book orders- cash or checks
payable to me (Mindy Taylor- I’ll put on debit
card– Much faster!), Parents can order books
online
Expected Behaviors
 Classroom Behaviors
 Respectfully follow all directions 1st time
given.
 Be polite and respectful at all times.
 Keep hands, feet, objects, and hurtful
words to yourself.
 Raise hand and get permission to speak
or leave your seat.
 Be responsible for class materials and
assignments.
 Come to class prepared (have books,
homework, and supplies).
 Always do their best work!
Behaviors &
Consequences
 Clips:
 1st offense–warning
 2nd offense- 5 minutes off recess
 3rd offense- 10 minutes off recess,
behavior note home and possible
classroom isolation
 Repeated offenses will result in
parent contact and/or visit to the
office
