WHAT IS TEAMWORK?
• Teamwork is when two or more people work together cohesively,
towards a common goal, creating a positive working atmosphere,
and supporting each other to combine individual strengths to
enhance team performance.

• A team is a group of people who work together toward a common


purpose or goal.
• Each specific type of team requires its own individual type of
teamwork to achieve success.
1. EFFECTIVE TEAMS

• Effective teams work in an organization with high efficiency.


• These teams perform as per desire of team leader.
• They follow the established methods of work.
• With their performance their leader becomes satisfied.
• These teams take decisions on the basis of consensus and the
members do not involve with conflict.

2. NATIONAL TEAM

• National team is formed with leaders from different units.


• This team is formed at the head office.
• Local team members are accommodated in this team.
• Every team member represents his organization.
• Every team member takes care of the interests of the team.
• They deal with the total output.

3. SELF MANAGED TEAMS

• These teams are known as self controlled, self reliant or self


directed teams.
• They are natural work groups that aware of given substantial
autonomy.
• But they don’t usually misuse their autonomy.
• They take decisions with participation.
• These teams are very much aware of disciplines and laws.
• Every member is highly conscious about their rights and
duties.

4. CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAMS

• Cross functional teams are basically to study, analyse and offer


solution that they are required to implement.
• Here it cannot divert the responsibility on others.
• It means to manage social collaboration and concept creation.
• It is a small group of interdependent employees from various
functional areas of organization.
• It is formed to handle a specific problem.
