Symmetry
Symmetry
- is having one side that exactly mirrors the
other.
Kinds
of
Symmetry
-it is easy to see
because one half is
the reflection of the
other half
rotations capture
symmetries in which the
same units repeat
around circles, like the
petals of a flower.
when something has
undergone a movement , a
shift or a slide in a specified
direction through a
specified distance without
rotation or reflection
Common Types of
Symmetry
Bilateral Symmetry

- There is an axis; on both sides of the axis the

organism looks roughly the same.
Radial Symmetry
- is a type of symmetry in which part of an object is
regularly arranged and radiate from a central point.
Broken Symmetry
or
Asymmetrical
Asymmetrical
- is the opposite of symmetry.
- the two sides of a shape don't match perfectly and
it could be irregular and crooked when folded into
half.
Breaking of Symmetry
