KNOB BLACK = NEGATIVE
RANGE SELECTOR KNOB-(selector switch) makes it possible to
select different function and range of the meter.

ZERO POSITION ADJUSTER– makes it possible to adjust the

pointer to the zero position of the scale.

SCALE– is a series of marking used for reading the value of quantity.

Scale can have different types of scale, for voltage and current readings
the scales have mostly linear which mean equal division for resistance

POINTER– The needle-shape rod that moves over the scale of a meter.
It is mechanically connected to the moving coil. It indicates the
measured values on the multimeter.

ZERO-OHM ADJUSTMENT KNOB– is used to zero-in the pointer

before measuring resistance.

TEST PROBE- Positive (red) negative (black) is use to connect the

circuit to the electrical components being tested.

• Confirm the range of use before measurement.
• Select a one higher voltage than the value to be measured
as well as where the pointer of a meter moves to a
considerable extent.
• Select the maximum range and measure in case the extent
of value to be measured can not be predicted.
1. Adjustment of meter to zero position:
Turn the zero position adjuster so that the pointer may align
right to the zero position.

2. Range Selection:
Select proper range for the item to be measured and set the
range selector knob accordingly
