INTRODUCTION
Lemon, (Citrus ×limon), small tree or spreading bush of
the rue family (Rutaceae) and its edible fruit. Lemon juice is a
characteristic ingredient in many pastries and desserts, such
as tarts and the traditional American lemon meringue pie.
The distinctive astringent flavour of the fruit, either fresh or
preserved, is also used to enhance many poultry, fish, and
vegetable dishes worldwide. Lemonade, made with
lemon, sugar, and water, is a popular warm-weather
beverage, and the juice itself is commonly added to tea. Citric
acid may amount to 5 percent or more by weight of the
lemon’s juice, which is also rich in vitamin C and contains
smaller amounts of the B vitamins,
particularly thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin
 Lemon is one of the most popular and versatile citrus fruit.
Its popularity is owed to it’s refreshing flavor and scent
making it a popular choice for flavoring many recipes and
perfumes. Lemon is also widely used in all sorts of drinks
from teas and cocktails to juices. Along with its obvious use as
a flavor, lemon since long has also been used for its medicinal
value. A rich source of vitamin C, lemon possess immense
health benefits ranging from its antibacterial and antiviral
properties to its immune boosting abilities. One of the most
common ways to reap the health benefits of lemon is by
juicing it. Lemon juice acts as a digestive and a detoxifying
agent and helps in cleaning the liver leading to better
digestive health.
Drinking lemon juice with warm water also helps reduce joint
and muscle pain. Lemon juice with warm water is also good
for your dental health as it helps with toothache and prevents
gingivitis.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Generally, the study will aim to determine the use of Lemon as
an alternative charger.
 Specifically, the study will seek to answer the following
questions:
 Does it make you save money by using fruits as an alternative
for chargers?
 Does lemon will be a harmful material to people?
 Will the electricity produced be enough to power a small light
bulb?
 What is needed to make electricity using lemon?
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The general objective of the study is to determine the alternative
charger by using lemon.
Specifically, the study will aim:

HYPHOTHESIS

Operational Hypothesis
 Lemon is an effective alternative charger.
Null Hypothesis
 Lemon is not an effective alternative charger.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The significance of the lemon as a charger is

that it demonstrates how electricity may f low
across a small electrical potential difference.
Also, for some instances, it can be used for
emergencies because it is essential for us to
keep our phones alive since it is a way of
communication and source of help.
TIME AND PLACE OF THE STUDY

The study will be conducted on August 2018 to

May 2019 on Cavite State University – Naic
Campus. The data will be collected at internet.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
This study will be conducted to make a lemon as an
alternative charger . Significant differences on the
effectiveness of those formulated solution will be also
considered. This study will focus on determining
effectiveness of the lemon in different cellphones or
gadgets. Such lemons cannot conduct electricity as
much as a juicy lemon. Overripe lemons lose its citric
acid content; the less citric acid and the higher the pH
level of a lemon, the less It will be suited to conduct
electricity.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Rutaceae- The Rutaceae are a family, commonly
known as the rue or citrus family.
Citric acid- weak organic acid that has the chemical
formula C ₆H ₈O It occurs naturally in citrus fruits.
Charger- a device for charging a battery or battery-
powered equipment.
Electricity- is the presence and flow of electric
charge. Its best-known form is the flow of electrons
through conductors such as copper wires.
