I. Problem:
 Is it possible to come up with a
filtration system that would improve
the quality of waste water?
Which filtration setup will yield
better results in terms of:
o Color
o Amount

VI. Analysis

The table shows that setup 2

is the better filtration setup
since it yielded water that is
slightly less than the original
amount and with an improved
appearance in color.
IV. Conclusion
Setup 2 is the more effective setup.

The filtered water is not suitable

for drinking or washing dishes or
clothes due to insufficient data
concerning its effect on the human
body. However, it can be used in
watering plants because it has lost
some of its odor due to filtering.
V. Recommendation

Use of a taller container (for a taller

setup) to give the filter more time to
cleanse the polluted water.
Make sure that the setup is free from
holes.
Use greater amount of charcoal in
setting up the filter because it serves as
the main filterer in the setup
Vary the amount of the other materials
used to filter the water
V. Recommendation
In placing the soil with plant, it is better if
the seed is planted in soil of the filter until
it grows into a plant so that the roots of it
are securely attached to the filter.
In choosing the plant it is advisable to
choose a plant that is not meant for eating
because the polluted water may affect the
plant.
The filterer can also be placed under areas
where there is a great amount of polluted
water.
