HAVING A VALET OR
BUTLER KIT

will help in
maintaining personal
appearance and will
help assist guests
with little emergency
problems that could
come up from time to
time.
A VALET KIT’S SHOULD
INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
•Small scissors or clippers
•Tweezers
•Hairbrush and comb
•Clothes brush
•Polishing and application
brushes for shoes
•Disposable gloves
A VALET KIT’S SHOULD
INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
•Needle and an assortment of
threads and buttons
•Safety pins in different sizes
•A small first aid kit, making sure
there are several sizes of plasters
•Matches or lighter, valet should
always carry a lighter in their
pocket whenever guest needs
one in lightning a cigarette.

• Clear or fresh colored nail polish is


acceptable
• Hair must be washed, dried, neatly
combed and arranged in attractive
and easy to maintain style. Hair
color should appear natural.
• Perfume or other fragrances may
not be used in moderation.
• Showers must be taken prior to
start of shift.
Ladies
• Conservative use of make-up for
natural look is preferred.
• One pair of earrings, they should not
be large or gregarious
• Shoes must be closed in court shoe
style, stockings, are to be worn at all
times.
• Uniform must comfortably fit, no
sagging hemline, properly buttoned,
clean and pressed- free from stains
or wrinkles.
Gentlemen

• Hair shall be regularly, neatly


groomed, men’s hair should not
go beyond collar and the side
hair must not cover the ears.
• Nails must be kept clean, short
and well trimmed.
• All male associates shall be
clean at all times whilst on duty.
Gentlemen

• Moustaches are not


permitted in front of
house areas.
• Beards are not
permitted.
• After-shaves or other
fragrances may be used
in moderation.
