Conceptual Approach
ROGELIO O. DIAN III
Teacher 1- Science
OBJECTIVES
• At the end of the lesson, students should be
able to:
• state the Boyle’s law
• describe Boyle’s Law mathematically
• investigate the relationship of volume and
pressure at constant temperature of a gas
• cite application of Boyle’s law in everyday
life
REJECTED PAPER BALL CHALLENGE
Boyle’s law
• Unlock terms
• Pressure- Pressure is defined as force per unit area. It is
usually more convenient to use pressure rather than force
to describe the influences upon fluid behavior. The
standard unit for pressure is the Pascal, which is a
Newton per square meter.

Guide questions:
• What is the initial volume?
• What is the initial pressure?
• What do you observe in the data?
• Describe the trend of the volume?
• Describe the trend of the pressure?
• What can you infer from the data gathered?
volume pressure
Initial volume Initial pressure
60 ml 101.3KPa
50 ml 121.8 KPa
40 ml 150.1 KPa
30 ml 201.9 KPa
20 ml 302.4 KPa
10 ml 590 KPa
BOYLE’s LAW
P1V1=P2V2
Where, P1 is the pressure of a quantity of gas
with a volume of V1 and P2 is the pressure of
the same quantity of gas when it has a volume
of V2.
Demonstration:
pressure and volume
Guide questions:
-Describe the volume air of the balloon inside
the bottle.
-Describe the pressure inside the balloon.
Demonstration:
pressure and volume
• Get the materials from the teacher.
• Insert the balloon inside the bottle and then inflate it, then
tie it.
• Secure the cap of the bottle
• Pump air into the bottle
• Observe.
Assessment
• Which of the situation below demonstrate Boyle’s
Law, support your answer
Assignment
• Read more on Boyle’s Law
• Bring calculator for problem solving of Boyles law application
