General Principles of PTW
System & Isolation Procedure
Permit to Work System
 is a formal written procedural system used to
plan and control work which is considered
potentially hazardous, to ensure the work is
completed in accordance with safe working
practices.
 It requires communication and co-ordination
between management, Shift In-charge,
Engineers, Operators and those who perform the
work including the contractors’ staff.
 The Permit to Work System should specify a
systematic disciplined approach to assessing the
risks of a job and specifying the precautions to be
taken.

PTW Coordinator
Duties:
