Video reflection

 Did you feel identified with any of the teachers?

 As a teacher, what suggestion could you give to the old-fashioned
teacher to have a better class?
 Did you find positive aspects in the old-fashioned teacher? Which
one(s)?
 What do you think are the characteristics the modern teacher has that
make his class successful?
 What aspect can you take from the modern teacher to implement in
your teaching practice?
 As a principal, what would you do to help the old-fashioned teacher
improve his instruction?
Google Drive Reflection

 Study all the resources available in the unit.

 Explore Google Drive and all the available tools. Think about the way you can use them in your teaching and
learning contexts.
 Analyze the state of the implementation of ICT in your teaching and learning contexts. Summarize what weaknesses,
strengths, opportunities, and threats you can identify.
 Read the assessment rubric to get to know in advance
 the criteria and scores taken into account for the assessment of your product.
 Write a 500-words reflection about the use of Google Drive in English Classes. Additionally, select one of the group
teaching and learning contexts and describe the state of the implementation of ICT on it, keeping in mind your
previous analysis.
 Include thoughtful conclusions on your reflection and creative ideas about the use of Google Drive in English classes.
 Create a Google doc with your reflection and share the link in the available forum. Remember to allow everybody
with the link to comment, so your classmates can read and give their opinions about your reflection. You can see the
list of your classmates’ Gmail accounts in the virtual classroom and share the document with them.
 Read and comment on your classmates’ reflections in the actual Google doc, encouraging academic discussion.
Avatars Creation

 Write a short personal presentation text including aspects that you like and do not like. You can write it in first person form (My
name is Carol, I’m 29 years old) or in third person form (he’s John, he’s a teacher)
 Practice the way you would record your presentation. Pay close attention to punctuation and accurate pronunciation of your
message.
 Organize your information in such a way it lasts a maximum of 1 minute. If time is too short for you, you can create two
avatars, one with the presentation and another with things you like and dislike.
 Access one of the suggested websites for the creation of avatars and customize your character.www.voki.com is strongly
recommended since it is the easiest and simplest to use. You can use other tool if you want to.
 You must record your own voice. Record one minute of the presentation that you prepared
 Save and publish your character and share it in the forum available in the virtual room. Include in your thread some comments
about the activity and your experience when creating your avatar. You can also talk about other resources used in your class
and your experiences when implementing them.
 It is also important not only to share the link for your avatars, but also check the forum in order to read and comment on your
classmates’ products.
 Make sure your comments promote discussion through creative ideas or questions.
 Keep in mind that participation in the forum will be graded in this assignment.
