 About Food
Industry
Food industry is a rapidly growing sector in Bangladesh,
employing a significant portion of the labor force in the country.
 Between 2004 and 2018, the food processing industry in Bangladesh
grew at an average 8.7 % per annum.

 This industries employing 19 % of the industrial manufacturing

workforce in Bangladesh or 17 % of the total manufacturing labor
force.

 The food industry employs 2.45 % of the country's total labor force
and its share in the GDP was 2.01 %.

 According to some industry analysts, the food processing sector in

Bangladesh is a 4.5 billion US Dollar industry.
Company Profile

Apex Foods Limited (AFL) was

incorporated on 21.03.1979 under the
Companies Act 1913

It is the single largest processor &

exporter of frozen seafood in Bangladesh
and is one of the most modern seafood
processing plants in Asia, equipped with
the latest processing, freezing and storage
machinery.
The products of the Company are
exported to the markets in North
America, EU countries, Australia and
Russia

Olympic Industries Limited was founded

in June 1979 as Bengal Carbide Limited

Today, Olympic is the largest manufacturer of

biscuits and confectionery in Bangladesh since
1996. and biscuits and confectionery products
represent 95%+ of our annual revenue.

Olympic is the market leader in the biscuits

industry, they have only been able to achieve
what they have by staying true to their core
values and by focusing on the consumer
