How to find the Mean?
Median? Mode?
MEAN
 The mean is commonly referred to as the
average of all values.

To compute for the mean, add all the


scores and divide the sum by the number
of scores.

It is the easiest “average” to compute.


The mean can be affected by extreme
values, very high or very low values.
MEDIAN
 It is the middle score in the list after
the scores are arranged in decreasing or
increasing order.

The median is not affected by extreme


values.
MODE
 The most frequent score/s in the
given set of data is called the
mode.
 A data set may have two modes
(and hence the data set is called
bimodal).
 If no value occurs more than once,
the data does not have a mode.
