McDonald getting health conscious

• The improvement of health conscious began


around 2013.
• The sodium content across sauces, buns,
McNuggets is done by 10% and in its fries it
has come down by 20%.
• Oil content has also come down by 25%.
• It has bring increase in calories up to 40%.
• The new low-fat, low-salt, and low-sodieum
content food has rise the sale by 10% from
2012 to 2015.
• It Has also introduce options of bread that
goes into the burger buns and there are
several options.
• The wraps, will now be made of whole-grain
wheat.
• The dairy products like ice creams , soft-serves
has less than 3%fat than earlier.
VEGETARIAN CUSTOMERS
• India contains more vegetarians than the rest of
the world combined—roughly half a billion people
• According to the sample registration system
(SRS) baseline survey 2014 released by the
registrar general of India, percentage of non-
vegetarians across the country however has
dropped from 75 percent in 2004.
• McDonald is keeping an eye on the increasing
preference for vegetarian customers.
• India is the only country in the McDonald
where approx. 50% of the menu has
vegetarian option.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW PRODUCT
• Last year it introduced the “Masala Dosa
Brioche,” a take on the south Indian staple, the
masala dosa.
• Anda bhurji, i.e. scrambled eggs served with a
bun as part of its breakfast menu.
• McDonald’s had also introduced Mexican and
Italian rice bowls. It is being served across its
stores in parts of south India, a sizeable rice-
eating region, apart from cities of Pune and
Mumbai.
• The Chatpata-Naan—potato patty or chicken
kebab wrapped in roti (Indian flour-bread)
served with sauces.
