About Drone Technology

• Drones were formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) that

can be remotely controlled for short and long range military and
civilian purposes
• To get orders/packages delivered into customers' hands in 30 minutes
or less
• Drones will neither be affected by traffic nor by fluctuating fuel prices.
• Customers will be able to schedule deliveries at their convenience
• Cost of delivery per unit is very less as drone will choose the most
optimal route for delivery through the software.
Logistical Applications
Internal Logistics:
• In-campus logistics - The future of physical document / parcel delivery - why rely
on clerks?
• Warehouse remote surveillance
• First-aid and emergency message provider - can deliver medicine at super speed,
also call for help in case other technologies fail

External Logistics:
• E-Commerce delivery
• Food delivery
• Emergency Medical Services
FUTURE
• There are some repetitive warehouse operations that are well suited
to a robotic device like Physical inventory, stock counting and cycle
counting.
• When it comes to repetitive barcode scanning operations out of reach
of a human, drones can be 100 times faster and 100 times more
energy efficient than using any other device.
• The time and labour saving benefits are especially evident in stock
counting of large, uniform warehouses containing thousands of
handling units above head height.
