Education in its general sense is a form of


learning in which the knowledge, skills and
habits of a group of people are transferred from
one generation to the next through teaching,
training, or research.
HISTORY

The evolution of culture, and human beings


depended on the practice of transmitting
knowledge.
Story-telling continued from one generation to
the next.
Oral language developed into written symbols
and letters.
The depth of knowledge that could be preserved
and passed soon increased exponentially.
TYPES OF EDUCATION

Formal education
Person may learn basic, academic or trade skills.

Non formal education


Non formal education is sometimes called adult
basic education or school.
Informal education
Informal education is when you are not studying
in a school and do not use another particular
learning method.
DIMENSIONS

Qualitative Dimensions:
Quality of Education In Pakistan.
Shortage of teachers and poorly equipped
laboratories.

Quantitative Dimensions:
Causative factors include defective curriculum.
However, efforts are on the way of molding the
curriculum to meet its national requirements.
GENDER DISPARITY

undergoing a change.

Resultantly the literacy figure has vacillated


irregularly during the last 5 census.
