girls in all regions of Colombia are entitled.
The Standards are telling the educational community and
parents what children should learn at the end of each
group of levels and what they should be able to do

3 Effects of the policy in the
classroom
The Common European Framework proposes six levels of performance. In
Basic and Middle Education, we will focus on bringing students to reach

English are grouped into sets of grades, as follows: from First to
Third, from Fourth to Fifth, from Sixth to Seventh, from Eighth to
Ninth and from Tenth to Eleventh.

Level of performance
As a way to contribute to definition of realistic
processes and goals in each grade group, the level
of performance A2 was subdivided into two levels:
A 2.1 and the A 2.2.
