Encouraging Parties, Convention bodies and international organisations Requesting the Technology Executive Committee and the Climate Technology Centre and Network in accordance with their respective mandates • Decides to conduct an assessment of the process stated and so as to improve its effectiveness in the year 2017. Resolves to enhance the provision of urgent and adequate finance, technology and capacity-building • (First Option) Decides to launch an accelerated implementation process starting in 2016 and continuing until 2020 • (Second Option) Decides to conduct facilitative dialogue conjuction with the 22nd session of the conference of the parties. • (Third Option) Decides to conduct biennial facilitative dialogue starting 2016. • Decides to launch technical examination process on adaptation from the the year 2016 to 2020. • Decides that the technical examination process on adaptation will endeavor to identify concrete
• Decides that the technical examination process should be organised
jointly by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, and conducted by the Adaptation Committee. • Decides that the process reffered will be pursued by Facilitating, Identifying, Promoting cooperative actions. • Also decides that the technical examination process on adaptation will take into account the process, modalities, outputs, outcomes and lessons learned from the technical examination process on mitigation. • Requests the secretariat to support the technical examination process by: Organising meetings Preparing annually • Decides that in conducting the process, the Adaptation Committee will engage with and explore ways to take into account, synergise with and build on the existing arrangements for adaptation-related work programmes, bodies and institutions under the Convention so as to ensure coherence and maximum value
• Decides to conduct assessment on the co-occurence of the processes stated,
so as to improve its effectiveness.
• Invites Parties and observer organisations to submit information on the
opportunities stated by the 3rd day of February year 2016.
