He's got a boss who just as well step on him, as acknowledge the fact that Dave does all the work but the boss gets the credit. He's got a pacifist nature that always gets the best of him, causing him to avoid conflict whenever possible. But it only seems to get worse for Dave when he can't take action and lets everything just Synopsis sit. However, when a misunderstanding aboard an airplane lands Dave in court, the only way out is through the therapy of Dr. Buddy Rydell, a psychiatrist and anger management expert. While the unconventional Buddy seems harmful and psychotic, he might just be Dave's only solution to a problem that seriously needs to be addressed. Dave has a behavioral problem; otherwise, his girlfriend Linda would not be interested to contact Dr. Rydell. His behavior was affected by the humiliation he had during his childhood years. He grew up wanting to please others so as not able to laugh at him again. He is kind of seeking approval from other people, that’s why even though he knows he’s right and others are stepping on him, he does not fight back. He is angry but he doesn’t show it. Movie Analysis It is good that the film also highlights some of Dave’s gestures as symptoms that he is angry. His relationship with Dr. Rydell is wacky but at the end, the result is successful. He was able to graduate from Dr Rydell’s anger management program. In this film, the entire therapeutic process was enveloped in a conspiracy. Anyway, a bit of exaggeration creates artistry and every film is craft of art. In general, Dr. Rydell is still an effective therapist because he was able to fix the behavioral problem of Dave. His out of the box therapy session appears to be admirable Dr Rydell’s technique is more of the client centered Movie Analysis approach. Because in the movie, it was Dave who realized that he was an angry man and it was wrong that people treats him that way means having fun. His girlfriend is highly focused and concerned about the mental well being of Dave and wants him to address the issue in spite of his pacifist attitude.
