The simulation had 4 variable
The voltage connected to the metal plate
The metal
the wavelength of light
And the photon flux
Through experimentation I found out that
Different metals need different amount of energies to release electrons
given voltage to the plate the electrons are attracted backwards towards the plate, the greater the
The photon flux doesn’t effect the speed but just the amount of electrons getting the energy, higher the photon flux
the greater the amount of electrons released
The wavelength gives the electrons energy and will determine the speed as well as whether the electron are released
at all.

Summary of the simulation:
Potassium: when the wavelength is less and
voltage is high the electrons are released and
they travel till an extent but however the
voltage being higher towards the end the
electrons bounce back and the electrons are
that leave are less as the photon flux is less
and once its doubled, al electrons eave
towards the sources except one.
Calcium- simillarly as the wavlength is
increasing the electrons cant travel towards
teh beam the speed of the electorns is less
and as the wavelength reduce the speed is
higher of the electrond a
• The photoelectric effect is the
Arjun Vaidya process by which electron are
released by a metal when it is hit
with a wavelenght that is lower
than a set wavelenght for the
metal. In the simulation, as the
wavelength is decreased, the
velocity of the electrons kept
increasing
• This simulation explores the photoelectric effect.  What
I observed is that, as the wavelengths move more to
Siddharth Mahadevan the left, i.e. as the wavelength decreases, the more the
light excites the electrons to move towards the plate on
the right. The photon flux refers to the intensity of the
light, or rather how many electrons it excites. The
voltage refers to the force pulling the electrons back to
the plate on the left. The material used for the plate
also affects the pull of the  electron back to the left
plate, so in this simulation,
