INTRODUCTION
Permaform stands for permanent formwork, pertaining to a structural walling system
in which concrete is poured to keep the boards steady.

Permaform is a permanent fiber cement board formwork made with Polypropylene

Copolymer, a reliable thermoplastic material with remarkable impact endurance. This
walling system strategically provides a feasible approach in construction, as it is
comprised of 100% non-toxic materials, boasts robust stability and numerous
resistances. A sensible, innovative alternative to the conventional cement hollow
blocks.
INTRODUCTION
HISTORY
In 2003, a humble beginning spurred with the intention to create a practical, efficient and
cost-friendly way of building simple to complex structures at the fastest possible rate. It
was at this time that Mr. Jay Andaya, together with Architect Don De Vera, alongside
Engineers Edwin Guanga and Nilo Abrencillo came together for that sole purpose.
At one point, the team tried what is referred to as “shotcrete walling” or the hosed
projection of concrete onto a surface—and it became an option. The use of EPS or
Expanded Polystyrene then emerged, shedding a little more light towards their goals.
However, the company wanted more, finally resorting to the methodology of precast
walls.
The company formulated the foundation of what is now known as the Permaform board.
Starting off with metal as the rebar adaptors, the team found a fully economical and ideal
approach to replace these steel fillers with recycled plastic. Not only does the material
offer greater flexibility, but it also contributes in keeping the environment healthy.
PERAFORMS SYSTEM
1. Fiber Cement Board
The primary Permaform element; composed of an eco-friendly,
asbestos-free cellulose fiber known as Polypropylene Copolymer,
crafted finely with sensible technology. The functional, lightweight
board is given a smooth finish, acting as a foundation for the
concrete filler. All boards are paint-ready as pleased.
2. Rebar
Act as a steel enforcement to support the boards, inserted through
the rebar adaptors with a specified measurement. Simple and stable
guidelines for the installment of the boards.
3. Universal Rebar Adaptor
This aids in establishing space between the two boards for the
concrete fill. It holds the rebars stationary and serves as permanent
formworks. These are made with reused plastic, helping reduce the
destructive wastes around the ecosystem.
4. Concrete Filler
An infill mixture comprised of sand, cement, gravel or broken stone
and water, poured within the spaces of the Permaform boards. Once
dry, the concrete will hold steady the entire Permaform system.

ADVANTAGES OF PERMAFORMS
1. Cost Efficient
Permaforms allow notable cuts in expenses due to the minimal material components needed for its
installment
2. Time Efficient
Instead of manually constructing boards, the product saves time by simply attaching the rebar
adaptors, aligning the boards as necessary, mounting the rebars securely, adding the concrete filling
and waiting for the fill to dry.
3. Fast & Easy Installation
Instead of manually constructing boards, the product saves time by simply attaching the rebar
adaptors, aligning the boards as necessary, mounting the rebars securely, adding the concrete filling
and waiting for the fill to dry.
4. Versatile & Eco-Friendly
The product can be minimized to the smallest possible piece if necessary, up to 20cm and to the
standard 1.2m x 2.44m. The Polypropylene component of the boards make it resistant to organic
solvents, electrolytic attack and degreasing agents.
ADVANTAGES OF PERMAFORMS
5. Trusted Quality and Durability
The material ensures that the fiber cement boards are more than capable of withstanding pressure.
Despite its strength, the material’s surface is made smoothly and ready to be painted on.
6. Good Sound-insulation
The product withstands both low and high temperatures to a commendable standard, able to hold
against direct flame for over 120 minutes.
7. Multiple Resistance
Permaform boards can take a multitude of challenges—water, fire, pest, wind and mold.
8. Lightweight Infill
The boards are made with a vital gap in between, making them easier to carry. This space is also
easy to fill with the necessary cement to hold the boards together.
9. Quick Material Transfer
Loading and unloading the materials from a vehicle on to the location takes less time, therefore,
higher productivity.
ADVANTAGES OF PERMAFORMS
10. Lessens the Need for Cranes
As most construction projects may require heavy machinery, the Permaform system removes
the dependence on these massive contraptions.
11. Minimizes Manpower Required
Apart from saving time and money, the amount of workers to undergo the project are also kept
in line. The ease in workload benefits all, not just the management, but the workers relatively.
12. Reduced Mess and Waste
As there are less raw materials required in the installation of Permaform boards, cleaning up
after the project is no strenuous work. If any remainders come forth, they are to easily be
disposed of, if no longer reusable.
13. Hands-on Training
Workers that are yet to learn how to install Permaform boards will find the method rather
convenient and fun. It can be compared to putting LEGO pieces together
COSTING
As of January 2017, the cost of the Permaforms, as
provided by the manufacturer, is Php 4,528.61 per
square meter.
