Design in
Organizational
Culture
by: Sarita Yasmin
“In an increasingly competitive global work
environment, the modern workplace asks more of its
workforce than credentials, specialization, or even the
willingness to work hard. In order to become robust
and resilient and grow in a sustainable manner, the
modern organization must be healthy from within —
starting with its employees.”
Human Design: Recruitment
and Retention
● If you’re looking for new types of recruiting tools
to provide better insights into your potential
candidates or want to increase employee
satisfaction and well-being, it is time to add
Human Design insights to your recruitment and
retention strategy.
What is Human Design?
● Companies have long used personality frameworks
like MBTI or DiSC to assess the strengths and
weaknesses of its employees to aid in productivity,
interpersonal dynamics, and morale. The Human
Design system builds on that, and then adds an
energetic component.
It is essentially a roadmap for individual human
understanding and how to best manage their energy
based on their unique energetic bodies.
Human Design is able to give valuable insights on the
individual's life, work style, communication style,
relationship style and exactly how it affects their
physical and mental health.
At the high level of Human Design, there
are five types.
Each type plays a critical role in the
interactions between humans.
Generator
As the ‘worker bees’ of the hive, Generators make up about 70% of the population. They have
powerful internal motors that allow them to churn out work. With their consistent access to drive
and energy, these types are here to create, build, and generate. Giving them permission to respond
to what lights them up is key and will amplify their energy rather than drain it, making them the
powerhouses of any organization or venture.

Allow time to make decisions
● Incorporating the knowledge of Human Design into your recruitment and retention
strategies is key to lasting success. The more comfortable your employees are in
their environments, the better they perform. As a result, they are more likely to stay
within the company.
As you can see, knowing the design types of your employees is incredibly insightful.
The full bodygraph even more so. It provides you with a tool for how to best
manage your team, how to distribute the workload, and highlights the strengths and
weaknesses of every individual so you can know how to best use the resources
available to you.
This contributes to a positive work culture that leads to increased employee-
satisfaction and an aid in each individual team-members’ mental and holistic health.
