Issue 1: Street hawking
Introduction
• Street hawking is the buying of some goods on a cart
or in the hands and sitting in the streets to get money.
• Some hawkers walk along the main streets from one
place to another for the sake of earning income.
• Many times we saw the markets full of hawkers who
do not allow the normal traders a road to enter their
shops and sit in front of the main shops and in the
streets.
 Causes of street hawking
The main causes of street hawking include
• Unemployment
• Poverty
• Increase in divorce
• weak management
 Impacts on society

It is clear that street hawking has its impacts on

themselves and ion the society these impacts
include
• It is the hazardous Job.
• Traffic jams
• Poor hygiene to the environment
 Recommendations
In order to curb the problems related to street hawking in our
country, we would like to make the following
recommendations:
• Alternative places must be made available to hawkers to
display their wares at affordable price
• Street hawking should be modernized and accepted as part
of the informal economy and appropriate agencies to create
room for them to operate.
• The government should regularly engage waste management
companies in cleaning of our streets to ensure the sanitation
problems on our streets are drastically reduced.
 Conclusion
• Street hawking is a global problem especially
in the developing countries, we can’t say the
street hawking must be prohibited, but the
government and institutions must get a
solution to this problem and also the street
hawkers are needed to get a way to make
their job ethical and not an impact on the
society.
 Issue 2: Dumping garbage
around water sources
Introduction
• Dumping is one of the leading causes of water
pollution. People dump waste and garbage in
and around water sources whether on purpose
or accidentally.
• No matter what you might be dumping,
whether it’s solid or liquid waste or even
something you feel might not be all that
harmful
 Causes of dumping garbage
People dump garbage around water sources for
the sake of reasons
• The ignorance of the society towards the
problems in garbage
• The weakness of the government authority
• General poor hygiene in the city
• The destruction of the main roads of the city
 Impacts on the society
• illegal dumping paves the way for serious water
pollution
• if water pollutes Mosquitos can spread and can
cause malaria
• Garbage that decays or otherwise seeps into the
water can pollute it with bacteria and chemicals.
• The garages can cause diseases which spread
among society. For example cholera and malaria
 Recommendations
• We must fear almighty Allah in every time and every
place, and keep the hygiene since it is an Islamic issue.
• To follow all water laws and regulations given out by
your municipality
• To talk to the city population about how their water
supplies are being treated
• To talk to your city or county heads about maintaining
and cleaning sewer lines regularly
• To implement cleaning institutions
 Conclusion
• Cleaning is an Islamic issue as our prophet
Mohammed ‫ﷺ‬ told as that it is half of Iman
so every person in the society is needed to
take care about the hygiene of his special
home and generally the city streets, specially
the water sources.
 Issue 3: Using metallic towers for power
transmission

Introduction
• As we know many of the electric companies
operating in our country especially Mogadishu use
towers for transmission of the electricity from one
place to another.
• Mostly the towers are made up of metals that can
conduct the electricity; the engineers who install
the towers don’t think the risks of touching a
person or any animal to these towers.
 Causes
• No punishment on engineers and electricity
companies
• Stinginess of the electricity companies as
they allege or justify they have no fun for
appropriate towers.
• Lack of accountability
• Carelessness of the engineers
 Impacts on Society
• Loss of lives of many people who don’t know
the danger of these towers
• Problem on the domestic animals
• It can cause electric fires that can harm huge
area and property
 Recommendations
• The electricity companies are recommended
to use towers made up of nonconductors of
electricity to decrease the danger
• To punish engineers and electric companies
who install these towers.
• There have to be accountability
 Conclusion
• Electricity is a danger.
• We need to be careful in any time and place
• the electrical engineers are recommended to
be careful and not to be cause of deaths and
fear almighty Allah
 Issue 4: corruption
Introduction
• Corruption is one of the major problems
facing societies around the world
• It is one of biggest global issues, ahead of
extreme poverty, unemployment, the rising
cost of food and energy, climate change, and
terrorism. It is thought to be one of the
principle causes poverty around globe.
 Causes of corruption
• Lack of accountability
• Lack of enough powers to the judicial system
and other independent organization.
• Lack of transparency in affairs and deals
• Lack of Unity in public
• Lack of ill fame
• Low Job opportunities
• Low Pay scales/ Wages
 Impacts of society
• Lack of quality in service
• Lack proper justice
• lack of development
• Poor health and hygiene
• Decrease in foreign investment
• Lack of respect for ruler
 Recommendation
• Our recommendation about corruption is the
people stop corruption all its form because
the corruption injury to the development of
community
• So the companies, government and private
company have to regulate accountability of
employees and pay good salary
 Conclusion
• Corruption is a phenomenon which
can occur in any country in the
world.
• Its problem is clear and any one can
understand its impacts. So every one
must try to avoid any type of
corruption in the society
