 INTRODUCTION

The Purpose of this Presentation for Manhole Construction Awareness to all

the Project Site Team.

For the strict compliance of the contract documents, project specification for
concrete works and under Qatar Construction Specification (QCS) 2014 ,
Section 08 : Drainage Works, Part 04 : Pipeline Installation, Item 4.5 :
Pipeline Structures and Appurtenances , Sub-Item 4.5.1 : Manholes for
Foul Sewerage. Sub-Item 4.5.2 : Manholes for Surface Water Sewerage
 PRE-CONSTRUCTION

Mandatory Training

- Site Engineer, Foreman, Labor and Safety Officer were mandatory trained to
make sure that the workers are competent to perform the activities in safe way

Method Statement

- The purpose of this Method Statement is to describe the sequence and

methodology for the construction of Manhole with the strict compliance of the
contract and specifications.

Licenses & Permits

- All the operators and drivers shall have the valid operating licenses /
permits form relevant authorities

Traffic Management

- Before commencing with any work that is likely to cause

disturbance to the existing road network, diversions shall be addressed
and approved by Ministry of Interior (MOI)

Inspection and Test Plan

- Contractor will plan the inspection date and test to be conducted for
this particular work

Risk Assessment

- Contractor will conduct Risk Assessment before executing the

works regarding the safety, quality plan and environment issues. i.e. dust
and noise at the surrounding.

Material Approval / Pre-qualification of the Subcontractor

- Contractor needed to submit the Materials to be used for Engineer – ITAL

approval and ensure this is the required materials as per Contract Agreement,
and submit Subcontractor Company profile for pre-qualification purpose.

Approved Schedule

- Before commencing , Contractor will prepare and submit the

Schedule for Execution and to be approved by Engineer - ITAL
