Current • 7 start-ups are in progress.
status

• Increase the number of applications up to 25 from students and faculty

through support of ORIC, USKT.
Year 1 • Target is to make sure the execution of at least 10 start-ups.

• ORIC , USKT will provide necessary resources, e. g. office space, work stations,
and mobility.
Year 3 • Target is to create at least 40 start-ups through USKT.
 Research Publications
• 42 research publications in national and international journals in last 2 years. (As per data)
Current • 15 impact factor publications out of 42.
status

• Increase the number of publications up to 60 from students and faculty through support of ORIC, USKT.
• USKT will provide necessary support such as paper submission fee, HEC e-library, turnitin, separate office
Year 1 space, and peaceful & silent work environment to achieve the target.

• ORIC , USKT will provide necessary resources, e. g., updated statistical packages, separate office space,
work stations, manageable credit hours, research funding, and remuneration. Workload of one course
of faculty will be reduced if faculty member published a paper in HEC recognize journal.
Year 3 • Target is to published at least 120 impact factor publications every year.
 Research Grant Projects
• 32 research projects submitted in national and international funding agencies such as HEC, Pak.
Sci. Foundation (PSF), Pak. Council of Sci. & Tech. (PCST), and Planning and Development Board
Current (Govt. of Punjab), National Centre of Robotics and Automation (NCRA) in last one year.
status • Almost 10 research projects are at second stage.

• Increase the submission of research projects up to 50 from the PhD faculty through
support of ORIC, USKT.
Year 1 • USKT will provide necessary support and research environment to achieve the target.

• ORIC , USKT will provide necessary resources, e. g. updated labs, manageable workload,
grant writing trainings & workshops, and industrial collaboration.
Year 3 • Target is to earn at least PKR 100 million worth grants.
 Faculty Development Program
• USKT has 60 PhD faculty members from national and international universities. Also, USKT
has 153 MS/Mphil faculty members.
Current • 05 faculty members are currently enrolled in PhD programs in national and international
status universities. (As per data)

• Increase the numbers of PhD scholars of USKT up to 10.

• USKT will provide necessary support and research environment to achieve the
Year 1 target.

• USKT will provide necessary resources, e. g. updated labs, manageable workload,

research proposal writing trainings & workshops, and separate work space.
Year 3 • Target is to enrolled at least 30 MS/Mphil faculty members in PhD.
 Patents and Commercialization
• Currently, USKT has no patent from the date of charter.
• ORIC, USKT is trying to create the awareness in faculty members about patents and trade
Current marks.

• ORIC, USKT will conduct the workshops for patent procedures and patent writing.
• USKT will provide necessary support and funding to achieve the target.
Year 1

• ORIC , USKT will provide trainings / workshops, and industrial collaboration.

• Target is to achieve at least 05 patents and 01 commercial patent.
Year 3
 Seminars and Conferences
• ORIC, USKT conducted 19 different events and exhibitions.
Current
status

• Increase the numbers of international research conferences and seminars on various

topics up to 25 with collaborations of all faculties, student societies and departments.
Year 1 • USKT will develop the student societies structure and funding for guest speakers.

• Target is to conduct at least 50 conferences, seminars and at least one international

research conference per year.
Year 3
 Memorandum of Understanding MoU(s)
• ORIC has 26 MoUs with different national and international organizations.
Current • All of the above MoUs partially executed.
status

• Increase the numbers of MoUs up to 40. ORIC, USKT will design and publicized a centralize
database of MoUs. A focal person will be allocated on each MoU to keep an eye on it.
• Faculty, and top management of USKT will inform to relevant students and enforce the
Year 1 signed MoUs.

• ORIC, USKT will provide necessary resources, transportation facility and industrial
collaboration.
Year 3 • Target is to successfully execute the maximum signed MoUs.
