 In Subtraction, we have the

10 - 2 = 8
Minuend Subtrahend Difference
In Subtracting Integers using COUNTERS
Start with the number of counters of minuend then
adding counters of corresponding to the opposite of
the subtrahend.
Subtract (-6) – (-4)=

-2
We use subtraction when the two sign is not the same.
Then, copy the sign of the bigger number.
Subtract (+9) – (-4)=

We use addition when the two

the used sign.

We use addition when the two sign is
the same. Then, copy the used sign.
In Subtracting Integers using NUMBER LINE
Simply move to the right when subtracting negative
integers and move to the left when subtracting
positive integers.
