keeper
• Reports to: – The General Manager, or Resident
Manager, or Room’s Division manager.
• Establish & implement

• Budget friendly
Duties & responsibilities of housekeeping
manager
• Reports to: – The Executive Housekeeper or
Director of Housekeeping.
• Checking & inspecting of all areas
• Duty Rota
• Maintaining the stock
• Training the staff
• Co-ordinating with staff
Assistant housekeeper
• Reports to: – The Executive Housekeeper or
Deputy Housekeeper (if this position exists in the
organization).
• Responsible for maintainace of rooms
• Responsible for linen handling
• Inventory of stock
• Coordinating with front office& other
departments.
• Coordinating with attendants
• Solving the difficulties of attendants
Floor supervisor
• Reports to: – The Assistant Housekeeper and
Executive Housekeeper.
• Handling the staff
• Handling the linen(soiled& fresh)
• Inventory taking
• Maintenance of floor
• Coordinating with other
departments
• Maintenance of reports
Public area supervisor
• Reports to:-The Assistant Housekeeper.
• Maintenance of public areas
• Organize special cleaning of public areas
• Coordinating with staff
• Coordinating with florist
• Upkeep & maintenance of equipment's.
• Maintenance of reports.
Night supervisor
• Reports to: – The Assistant Housekeeper
• Supervise & engage night staff
• Ensure cleaning of public areas& guest rooms
• Coordination with f/o & other departments
• Training to staff
• Maintenance of reports
• Report any saftey& security hazards
Store keeper
•  Reports to the linen room supervisor.
• Control the stock of equipment.
• Store cleaning materials agents.
• Issue equipment and cleaning materials
• Prepare requisitions for materials and new
products
• Take approval of the executive housekeeper
• Coordinate purchasing department for the
procurement of approved materials.
Control desk supervisor
• Reports to: – The Assistant Housekeeper.
• Works 24/7
• Coordinate with front office & other departments
• Handling guest requests & complaints
• Report any VIP,VVIPs staying
• Maintain the records
• Handling the telephone
• Handling all keys given to staff
Guest room attendants
• Reports to: – The Floor Supervisor.
• Clean the guest rooms assigned
• Replenish the guest room supplies
• Answer the guest promptly
• Eye for detail
• Handle guest linen & laundry carefully
• Check & secure the rooms
Head house person
• Reports to: – The Public Area Supervisor.
• Supervise the work of all public area staff
• Supervise the handling of heavy duty
machines
• Ensure the work done promptly
• Supervise the work of furniture men, floor
men& ware house men
House men/house porter
• Reports to:- The Head House-person or The
Public Area Supervisor
• Help the room attendants in their room work
• Cleaning of gardens, swimmimng pools
• Cleaning of corridors
• Cleaning of pantries
• Cleaning of fire fighters etc.
Tailor /seamstresses/upholsters
• Report to:-The Linen Room Supervisor.
• Mend all linen damages if required
• Alternate staff uniforms if required
• Stitch new uniforms for new staff
• Refurnish all damaged upholstry
• Mend damaged linen for other purposes
• Draw material from stores
Cloack room/powder room attendant

• Reports to: – The Public Area Supervisor.


• Maintain the area clean all times
• Maintain adequate stock
• Maintain linen all time during peak hours
• Send soiled linen to laundry for adequate
supply
Horticulturist
• Reports to: – The Public Area Supervisor.
• Supervise the maintenance of gardens &
landscape areas.
• Ensure a smooth supply of flowers/
foliage to the housekeeping department.
• Assist the executive house-keepers with
flower arrangements in the absence of a
florist.
Gardener
• Report to: – The Head Gardener or Horticulturist
• Maintain all plant areas
• Maintain landscape gardens according to their
theme
• Distribute manure& fertilizer
• Utilize garden tools efficiently
Florist
• Reports to: – The Horticulturist or to the
Assistant Housekeeper.
• Collect fresh flowers everyday
• Change flowers if required
• Mainatin the vases
• Distribute the flowers /flower arrangements
to the required areas of hotel
• Making of Garlands,boquets
Laundry manager
• Reports to: – Executive House
Keeper.
• Responsible for the entire
functioning of the laundry & dry-
cleaning unit.
• A laundry manager must have the
organizational ability .
• Laundry manager should have
technical knowledge of chemicals
and their effect on fabrics.
Laundry supervisor
• He/she is in charge of the functioning of the
laundry in the absence of the laundry
manager.
• A laundry supervisor must have a good
understanding of all aspects of the laundry
equipment, chemicals, and fabrics.
Laundry attendents
• Collect soiled linen & segrigate
• Wash the soiled linen with apporiate
chemical& detergent
• Iron /press the required linen
• Send the fresh linen to the linen room
• Send damaged linen to tailor
• Dry clean the linen if requird.
