BACKGROUND
The Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) is the leading OSH association in
Malaysia. Established in 1971, MSOSH is one of the founding members of Asia Pacific Occupational Safety
and Health Organization (APOSHO)

The Malaysian Society for Industrial Safety was registered on the 27th April 1971. Since its formation and
registration, the Society has all the time been a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organisation.
In 1991 the Society was renamed as the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health where the
Patron of the Society is the Honourable Minister for Human Resources Malaysia.

MSOSH is committed to the fulfilment of the Safety and Health Policy in striving for excellence in all their
activities. We shall endeavour to take every reasonable and practicable step to prevent and eliminate the risk
of injuries and occupational illness of theirs employees and those who involve in their activities

Must have OSH direct working experience (example - authorities,
consultant, trainer, auditor and practitioner) of minimum 15 years.
AUDITOR
Must have OSH direct working experience (example - authorities,
consultant, trainer, auditor and practitioner) of minimum 10 years.

Must have attended the OSH MS Lead Auditor Course by Certification Bodies recognized
by MSOSH of minimum 5 days duration and successfully passed the exam. A copy of
certification must be submitted to MSOSH Award Audit Committee for verification and
recordkeeping

Must have experience working for more than 3 years with company or organization that has
been certified with either OHSAS 18001 or MS 1722 or other MSOSH recognized OSH
Management Systems
