 Device that uses light source to read characters, marks,
and codes and then converts them into digital data

Optical character recognition (OCR)
o A technology involves reading typewritten, computer-
printed or hand-printed characters from ordinary
documents and translate it into a form a computer can
process (OCR font), used in turnaround document.
