I LOVE YOU SINCE 1892
The story is about a Filipino lady named Carmela Isabella from 2016 and her journey
to the Philippine Spanish Time, 1892. It’s purpose is to give people a bit of a
background about the things that happened in the 19th century. A historical fiction that
tells an epic adventure of a modern girl who was brought back in time, to experience
an old fashioned life and love in 1892. Her task is to change the epic fate of Carmelita
Montecarlos who is her 4th generation grandmother in her mother side and Juanito
Alfonso. They both fell in love which leads Juanito to death. Carmelita had a diary
with a note written in the cover, “Ang pag-iibigan natin ay muling isusulat sa araw ng
ikaapat na pagkakaktaon” this is the only thing that Carmela had with her throughout
the rollercoaster ride of happenings. She struggled to act like how women in the 19 th
behave and as Carmelita because she came from the modern world Carmela and but
then she eventually managed as time passed. She must not fall in love with Juanito but
she did. She found out many revelations she never imagined, in the end she managed
to fight what the real Carmelita did in the past and even if it breaks her heart she did
what she must do and she accomplished her task.
WHY DID WE CHOSE THIS
STORY/BOOK?
 There are many lessons about our historic past.
 It highlights how love works before.
 Have unique and amazing flow of the story.
 The value of family is evident.
 It will let us know how the people before live and
what happen to our country, Philippines when the
Spanish colonizers colonize our beloved country.
