QVC makes a great example in terms how their website is set up to deliver the best

QVC is very well advertised. It does so through all its platforms, whether it
may be T.V., Social Media, Mobile App. They have made a customer base
across all platforms and are able to reach them through a variety ways to
highlight any upcoming events or special products on sale.

All the traits of Web Design (Structure, Content, Text, Graphics,

Presentation style, Navigation, Promotion), we believe, are the
foundation of a successful website. They all build off of each other
to make the website easily navigatiable and user friendly.

these additional platforms to advertise
products and raise brand awareness.
● A unique feature about QVC is if you're
watching QVC tv online, they have a shop
now option for the product they are
presenting for a speed buy/quick checkout
Website Metaphors and Target Audience
● QVC has a unique theme that works very well due to its
structure
● It’s light color theme which switches from a light color
to white space.
● How they make it work is by using the light colors to
promote bigger headings and special products/events.
The white space is used to show current products on
sale and the space is used effectively so customers can
identify and clearly read product descriptions
● Using this mix of color theme, it is easy to follow and
promote/draw attention to what they see fit
Recommendations for Improving the QVC’s Website
● Include a category for Kid’s and Women’s wear like “Men’s” in the category drop-down.
● Improve the search to have a type ahead feature like Amazon.
● Provide an option for the customers to provide feedback on all the products, not just few.

What’s Valuable to Others about the QVC’s website

● Customers can view the best deals, Clearance items and free shipping items right on the landing page.
● Customers can stream QVC TV directly from the website.
● With the amount of information that is provided on the landing page, I believe there is a great deal of
data gathering and data consolidation involved.
