other colleges interested in doing projects with us which will help us in generating both funds and
interns. Working with the professors will help the secretaries as well as gain some professional work
skills.
I also want to appoint one or two PG secretaries to increase the PG participation in the club. I will

barrier to learning. I will also ensure that they do not get sidelined in Techfests or any other

Motive of Summer Projects
The Summer Vacations provide us with ample time to take up new projects as well as to
complete the existing ones. Some of the ways in which the summer projects can benefit us
are:

● The Club can try its hand on some innovative projects which it has never done
before, which we can extend as a long team project considering the fact that there is
little pressure of academics.
● The Club can also widen its reach through regular lectures on aerodynamics as well
as through workshops. This will help in increasing participation.
● These projects also help in streamlining candidates that have been appointed as
Secretaries of the Club. Also, they provide the others with an additional chance for
being appointed in case their work is upto the mark.

Targeting Techkriti 21
Techkriti, being the technical fest of our college, I feel that we should participate in it. We
will try our best to give the best performance. For this, we should start our practice from
January itself. We can seek help from seniors regarding design. We will ensure that people
who will actually fly in the competition are regular in flying practice.
Balsa and Composite Projects
I think there should be one or two projects of balsa/composite every year considering their
importance in fabrication. There should be some people in the Club who can work on balsa and
composite planes. This will help us in increasing our areas of expertise.
About Competitions
Well even though taking part in competitions are not the main goal of a club but I think we
should and can participate in one or two competitions because we will learn a lot around
competitions and it will help us think out of the box.

Competitions in which we can participate

● Techfest (Dec-Jan)
● Boeing National Aeromodelling Competition
● Aerophilia (Sep)
● SAE Aero (Apr)
● Techkriti (Mar)
Club need to focus on
➢ The Club should be well prepared for any kind of deals and collaboration.
➢ The space provided to us is insufficient for us in my opinion, mainly because there are too many old
planes and their parts scattered in the room, some of which are too broken to be used in that state.
So, I think that they should be either removed or relocated to new shelves which can be made in the
Aeromodelling Room. Also, a tin shed can be built just outside the Room to increase our workspace.
➢ We don’t have a sufficient number of flyers which acts as a big problem when the Club participates in
competitions. Also, a very few number of people are skilled in designing using softwares (such as
XFLR). In my opinion, everybody in the Club should be acquainted with the software considering its
wide usage.
➢ Sometimes, the electronic components, even if they suffer minor damages, are thrown away without
checking if they can be repaired manually. I think that this is a topic of concern because we already
suffer from insufficient funds and solving this problem will help in better expenditure of funds.
➢ I think that we should focus more on fabrication of composite planes and planes made up of materials
other than styrofoam and biofoam.
➢ The projects need to be more presentable for exhibition. This will help in attracting people into the
Club.
New Ideas
● F3P competition
● Hall level flying session
● Improve the Club’s LinkedIn account
● PG mentors
● Air show on 15 Aug in front of campus janta
