Mission
My Mission consists of bringing new ideas in the field of aeromodelling in our Club. I plan to conduct
Hall-level workshops for first year students just after the orientation. I also intend to collaborate with
professors of IITK (preferably of the aerospace department) as well as with external industries and
other colleges interested in doing projects with us which will help us in generating both funds and
interns. Working with the professors will help the secretaries as well as gain some professional work
skills.
I also want to appoint one or two PG secretaries to increase the PG participation in the club. I will
choose people purely on the basis of talent and hardwork and will ensure CPI does not prove to be a
barrier to learning. I will also ensure that they do not get sidelined in Techfests or any other
competitions based on it.
Purpose of our club
1. To provide a platform to the people having interest in Aeromodelling and
Aerodynamics.
4. To reach the maximum people of the campus and connect with enthusiast
people
Role of a Coordinator
The roles of a coordinator are :
● To keep in mind his vision and mission for the Club and to strive hard to achieve
them.
● To arouse interest in aeromodelling in the campus janta by conducting lecture
sessions, workshops, etc.
● To have a detailed plan of the various events to be organized and to effectively use
the funds allocated to the Club from the SnT Council.
● To keep an eye on the various aeromodelling competitions in the country as well as
abroad, and to decide whether to participate in the various competitions depending
on the feasibility of participation.
● To create an environment so that a newcomer feel comfortable to approach us.
My Qualities
Non Technical : 1. I am a quick learner.
● The Club can try its hand on some innovative projects which it has never done
before, which we can extend as a long team project considering the fact that there is
little pressure of academics.
● The Club can also widen its reach through regular lectures on aerodynamics as well
as through workshops. This will help in increasing participation.
● These projects also help in streamlining candidates that have been appointed as
Secretaries of the Club. Also, they provide the others with an additional chance for
being appointed in case their work is upto the mark.

Targeting Techkriti 21
Techkriti, being the technical fest of our college, I feel that we should participate in it. We
will try our best to give the best performance. For this, we should start our practice from
January itself. We can seek help from seniors regarding design. We will ensure that people
who will actually fly in the competition are regular in flying practice.
Balsa and Composite Projects
I think there should be one or two projects of balsa/composite every year considering their
importance in fabrication. There should be some people in the Club who can work on balsa and
composite planes. This will help us in increasing our areas of expertise.
About Competitions
Well even though taking part in competitions are not the main goal of a club but I think we
should and can participate in one or two competitions because we will learn a lot around
competitions and it will help us think out of the box.
