SARM limited was established in march 2000 as a M & E (Mechanical and


Electrical) Engineering company specializing in fire protection/prevention, Air
conditioning and Ventilation installation

• I learnt about excavation. Excavation is the process of removing of earth to


form a cavity in the ground. It may carried out by manual means using tools
such as picks, shovels and wheelbarrows. Larger scale excavation will
require heavy plant such as bulldozer and backactors

IN Nigeria , common building materials used are both natural and artificial. We use them for the construction, development and
maintainance of a building or structure throughout its lifespan. Some of the building materials include ;

LEVELING INSTRUMENTS

There are three types of leveling instruments which are


1. THEODOLITE; It is utilized in surveying to determine horizontal and vertical angles
with the tiny low telescope that may move within the horizontal and vertical plants
2. ORDINARY LEVELING EQUIPMENTS; This isa normal manual ,easurimg
equiments which is used on small sites amd it is very easy to use
3. LASER; This is a laser like equipment which is used to take different levels on a site.
It has a straight blue line which extends to the level been taken

CONCLUSION

• SIWES is great benefit to students in tertiary instituions.it therefore implies


that the proper and effective administration of siwes will go a long way in
boosting and enchancing and competencies of the workforce of the country.
I learnt a lot during siwes and am certain it made me a better person.
