punishment for Boston Tea Party.

• Giving shelter to British soldiers in every colonies
for free of cost
First Continental Congress 1774
• Sent petition to King to restore peace
• Asked King to remove the Intolerable Act
• Parliament responded by adding new taxes to
the colonies.
The War Begins
• On 19th April 1775, the war broke out.
• 18 Minutemen and 300 British were killed in the
Battle of Lexington and Concord in 1775.
• 1000 British soldiers were killed in the Battle of
Bunker Hill in 1775.
• British were forced to abandon Boston
• In 1776, the independence of America was
declared.
