Air pollution is the presence of substances in the
atmosphere that are harmful to the health of
humans and other living beings, or cause damage
to the climate or to materials.

much as possible.
Air is essential for life itself, without it we could
survive only few minutes…..

Air pollution can even lead to a person's death. Long-term


health effects from air pollution include heart disease, lung cancer, and
respiratory diseases such as emphysema. Air pollution can also cause
long-term damage to people's nerves, brain, kidneys, liver, and other
organs.

Bhopal gas tragedy: The
night of death
Worst industrial accident which
polluted the air to a great extent

Union Carbide's pesticide plant in Bhopal, India, was the scene of one of the worst
industrial accidents in history when methyl isocyanine gas leaked from the plant and
spread over a populated area, killing at least 2,000 people at the time of the accident
and causing an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 subsequent  killings.
