• SIEM (SECURITY INFORMATION AND EVENTS MANAGEMENT)

Is a security system that ingests event data from a world variety of sources
such as security software and appliances, network infrastructure devices, and
many of the applications running in an organization (Rubens, 2018).

ISSUES IN THE EVENTS INDUSTRY

TWO PURPOSES:
Security event management (SEM): Analyzes log and event data in real
time to provide threat monitoring, event correlation and incident response. Data
can be collected from security and network devices, systems and applications.
Security information management (SIM): Collects, analyzes and reports
on log data (primarily from host systems and applications, but also from network
and security devices) to support regulatory compliance initiatives, internal threat
management and security policy compliance management.

• SIGNIFICANT ETHICAL ISSUES IN EVENTS INDUSTRY

1. Authentic Representation
One must always be honest with the clients and stick to the commitments
made. Honest and transparent practices of pricing bear testimony to an event
management company’s reputation and success.
2. Incentives for Participants
Small tokens of thank-you or simple gifts to the participants are a must at
any type of events.

3. Don’t Steal Intellectual Property

The theme, design, style, music, food, and decor of the event can be readily
inspired from an idea, but you should never steal it outright.
4. Mishaps in Social Media
People are more connected to the internet and Social Media than ever.
Especially when it comes to corporate events, social media posts that breach the
policy of the company must be avoided. Educate your audience about what is
acceptable and what is not to avoid any mishaps later on.

5. Abuse of FAM
Making familiarization trips to locations and event venues is very much
accepted. But do not take unfair advantage and make a visit to a location that you
have no intention of hosting at.

2. 5G
This has exciting ramifications not just for solving connectivity issues, but
also lifting some of the limitations planners face in the venue sourcing process.
With high-speed internet readily available in the pockets of attendees,
infrastructure can give way to imagination. Planners will be able to think outside
the box, employing new and nontraditional venues that wow attendees and map
more closely to the specific objectives of a given event.
