Aim: The aim of this assessment is to analyse an organisation from a change


leadership perspective and develop an Organisational Change Leadership Plan
(OCLP).

The assignment will challenge you to keep up to date with the latest
research and apply it in an organisational context. This will deepen your
knowledge of the challenges of change and leadership in an organisation of
your choice.

This is a complex assessment task. Consider working with at least one other
person.

Where to start:
1. Identify an Organisation in the industry from Assessment 1 that you are interested in.

You CAN use interviews, newspapers, Facebook, Twitter, or other forms of social media,
trade journals, opinion pieces, or Google to develop your understanding of the
organisation and change issues.

NOTE: If you want to work with a small group for assessment two, choose the people you
want to work with, discuss which industry that you want to focus on and collectively
choose an organisation to study for this assessment.

2. Study the organisation in detail.
This means contacting the organisation and speaking with relevant people.
NOTE: You are required to provide evidence of who you spoke to in order to
develop your understanding of ‘change requirements’ in the organisation.

3. Apply the industry change issues identified in assessment one and other
issues identified through the subject to the organisation.

4. Identify at least 15 contemporary peer reviewed research journal articles
(Not more than 5 years old) that provide new knowledge on the theme
you have chosen. This means contacting the organisation and speaking
with relevant people.

5. Apply the findings of the research and relevant topic materials to the
organisation.

6. Develop an Organisational Change Plan (OCLP) with recommendations
that reflect the identified change issues and research findings.
