MOUSE MOVEMENTS
1. Pointing – it positions your mouse
pointer to the program that you want to
open.
2. Click – it presses the left mouse button
once only.
3. Double Click – it presses the left mouse
button twice.
4. Right Click – it presses the right mouse
button once only.
5. Drag – it presses the left mouse button,
hold it while you are moving the mouse
ELEMENTS OF THE WINDOWS
1. Icons - a small video-graphic image with a label below.
• Recycle Bin- a temporary storage of all deleted files.
• My Computer – it displays all the storage devices.
• My Documents – it displays all the files that you have kept
on your computer.
• My Network Places – it shows the connection of the
network of internet.
2. Desktop – popularly knows as “wallpaper”
3. Quick Launch Bar- it serves as a shortcut key for your
application software.
4. Notification Area – a place wherein you can see or notify
you that you need to update your software application.
5. Clock – it displays the date and the time.
6. Start button – it begins a particular application program.
7. Taskbar – a rectangular bar that displays the start button,
clock, notification area and quick launch bar.
PARTS OF THE WINDOWS
1. Application Icon – it manipulates your windows application
program.
- Close - Maximize
- Move - Minimize
-Size - Restore
2. Title bar – it displays the name of the application program and
name of your document.
3.Minimize button – it turns the windows into an icon.
4.Maximize button – it enlarges the screen of your windows
application program.
5.Restore button – it shrinks the windows application program.
6.Close button – it exits your document.
7.Ruler – it sets a tab and margin.
8.Toolbar – it provides quick access for frequently used command.
9.Cursor – it indicates where you can start typing.
10.Status bar – it gives information and details
11.Working Area – it displays document that you are currently
working on.
HOW TO CHANGE THE DATE AND
TIME?
1. Click the clock on the taskbar.
2. Click change the date and time.
3. Click again the change the date and
time button.
4. Choose and change your date and
time.
5. Click Ok.
6. Click Apply, then click Ok.
