⊹ It is writing that resembles
everyday speech.

⊹ The word prose is derived from the


Latin prosa which literally means
straightforward.

discussion of facts and topical
reading and does not adhere to
any particular formal structures
other than simple grammar.

⊹deal with animals and inanimate things
who speak and act like people
⊹purpose is to enlighten the minds of
children to events that can mold their ways
and attitudes.
