 RATIONALE OF THE STUDY
The pandemic has presented many challenges to Senior High
School Students and already coping with emotional and mental challenges that
have been especially vulnerable to the changes and now we are learning about
the broad impacts on HUMSS students in Talavera Senior High School. Critical
insight into the emotional and mental challenges of senior high school student
have experienced over the last year yet growing concern in the pandemic and its
widespread disrupting to senior high schools could have devastating and long-
lasting toll on students’ emotional and mental challenges. The challenges related
to the impact on students’ mental and emotional health beyond this phase of the
pandemic.
 RATIONALE OF THE STUDY
The significance of this study was to acknowledge many people that don’t believe in
emotional and mental challenges issue of HUMSS Students in Talavera Senior High School that
currently facing in amidst of pandemic. This research study also will be awareness to the many
people about emotional and mental challenges that can affect academic performance of the HUMSS
Students.

The aim of this research study is to provide awareness or determine the emotional and
mental challenges on HUMSS Students of Talavera Senior High School in amidst of Pandemic. The
result of this research study will benefit to HUMSS students and other strand in Talavera Senior High
School. This study highlights key issue and offers practical solution and mental challenges of
adolescents during the pandemic from a senior high school perspective. Student are going to learn
how to avoid and overcome emotional and mental challenges that they currently facing.

 Rationale of the Study

The appearance of COVID-19 virus has affected many college graduates

in NEUST Talavera because of economically fail due to the pandemic. Looking
for a job after graduation is daunting enough, but searching for amid an
ongoing pandemic is more impossible for a college graduates. The corona virus
closure continuing to tighten budgets all around, more and more companies
are announcing hiring freezes, canceling summer inter ship and pushing back
start dates. Worst, many business are still adjusting to the new remote realities,
just aren’t prioritizing hiring at this point.
 Rationale of the Study
The significance of this study was to recognize the struggle to find a
job or career for a college graduates in NEUST Talavera and the difficulties in
the amidst of pandemic and being an unemployed graduate students in NEUST
Talavera because of economically failing that our country still facing over a year
right now.
 
This study aims to identify the challenges that the fresh graduates in
NEUST Talavera face in seeking career opportunities and how this challenges
turn in motivation pursue to have career even in the middle of pandemic. This
also seek option improve lives of fresh graduates in NEUST Talavera and
acknowledge many people that COVID-19 has the biggest impact in the
economy and because of that it will be tough to find a job or career
opportunities.
The Impact of Covid-
19 on the Physical
Condition of Student-
Athletes of Talavera
Senior High School
 RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

According to the recent study by Lui (2020) Covid-

19 pandemic resulted unusual situation within the
sporting community. As a result of that, athletes were
forced to abruptly modify training habits without adequate
time for coaches. A study conducted by Shepherd, et al.,
(2020) the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the physical
condition of student-athletes is not yet well understood.
 RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

The researchers will conduct the physical

condition of student-athletes in Talavera Senior High
School to gather information and to determine the
effect of Covid-19 pandemic on their daily routine and
what are the best way to resist the challenges to be
physical fit even at the middle of pandemic as
student-athletes and what are the unique physical
fitness challenges that they experienced as student-
athletes of Talavera Senior High School amidst of
pandemic.
 RATIONALE OF THE STUDY

The aims of this research study are to provide

awareness or determine the impact of Covid-19 on the
physical condition of student-athletes of Talavera
Senior High School. The study will be great benefit to
the student athletes, coaches and future student
athletes. Coaches will have an idea on how will they
handle situation like this in pandemic. Lastly, to the
future student athletes they will have an idea how this
pandemic will affect their physical condition and how
they will handle it.
 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study aim to provide analysis of the impact of Covid-

19 on the physical condition of student-athletes in TSHS

1. What are the disadvantage/s and advantage/s to the

physical condition of student-athletes in TSHS?
2. What are the adjustments to the fitness body of student-
athletes because of Covid-19?
3. What are the physical challenges experienced by the
student-athletes during Covid-19 pandemic?
 RESEARCH DESIGN

A descriptive research design will be used in this study.

The sample will be selected based in convienced. It will be
comprised of 30 student-athletes (50% male and 50% female) of
mean age 16, 17 and 18. All of which competed or were preparing
to compete last school year 2019-2020. They had previously
participated in District Meet Athletic competition last 2019-2020
academic year. The inclusion criteria were as follows (a) enrolled
in Talavera Senior High School; (b) considered student-athletes in
TSHS; (c) and to have participated in District Meet Athletic
competition.
 RESPONDENTS
Senior High School student-athletes from Talavera
Senior High School will be purposively sampled from
respondents. Respondents will be initially invited to participate
in this sub-study by a member of the research team and were
provided an overview of the study purpose. A total of 30
respondents will be contacted to express interest in
participation. The 30 respondents will be sampled for variation
on sex, gender, and sport participation. Respondents will be
purposively sampled, using maximum variation sampling,
including variation in sport respondents, season of sport, and
individual or team sport participation. Respondents will be
invited to participate to answer the Google form survey that we
provided.
 DATA GATHERING TOOL
The researchers will utilize questionnaire in
Google survey form, that will be sent to the
respondents who are student-athletes in Talavera
Senior High School. In disseminating the
questionnaire, the researchers have left a Google
form survey through their email account for them to
answer anytime according to their comfort. After
answering the form will be check and the researcher
will tally their statements and analyze the COVID-19
on the physical condition of student-athletes in
Talavera Senior High School
 STATISITCAL TOOL
The researchers will be use percentage in
this study as statistical tool to calculate the tool
number of the respondents and multiplying by
100%. The data that will be gathered from the
questionnaire will be recorded using the Google
form survey. The questionnaire will contain
close-ended questions that aims to determine
the level of difficulty in physical condition of a
student-athletes in this COVID-19 pandemic.
For the profile of the respondents, the frequency
counting and percentage formula gathered.
