count
 Proceed- Students who will continue

studying
 College- Enroll to a school that

Introduction:
Philippines has implemented the new
educational system called the k-12
Curriculum where students should start
education with two years in kindergarten,
six years in elementary, four years in high
school, and additional two years in Senior
High school. The primary purpose of this
curriculum is to shape the students to be
globally competitive.
With the additional two years in Senior
High school, students are given the
choice to proceed or not to proceed in
college. This is because the curriculum
in Senior High school inculcates
programs, lessons and trainings that can
already be applied in different
occupations.
This study determines the effects of K-12 to
the life choices of the students with regards
to educational attainment. Although before
the K-12, there are people who choose not to
proceed to college due to various reasons,
their jobs are greatly influenced. Nowadays,
students who will not go to college can
already apply for occupations that suit their
learnings during Senior High school.
With this, the students’
decisions are greatly deviated.
Therefore, this study will
determine if the number of
students who will proceed to
college will dramatically change
Objectives:
1. To know if how many ABM
students will proceed to college.
2. To know what are the factors that
affects their decision why they
want and not want to proceed to
college.

The respondents of this
study are the ABM students
