HAND TOOL

HAND TOOLS

These are fairly simple tools which you can use with
your hands and which are usually not powered. They are
physical-system devices used manually with force.
Flat Head
Screwdrivers
Is a screwdriver with a wedge-
shaped flat tip, used to tighten or
loosen screws that have a straight,
linear notch in their heads.
This flat tip is perfectly sized to fit
into a screw with a
straight head slot with a
corresponding shape.
Philips head
screwdrivers

A screwdriver that is designed
to be used with a type of screw
(called a Phillips-head screw) that
has a slot in its top that looks like a
cross.
Allen Key or
Allen wrench or
Hex Key or Hex
head
A hex key, also known as an Allen
key or Allen wrench, is a small
handheld tool that's used for driving
bolts and screws with a hexagonal
socket. They are available in many
different sizes, though they all have
the same hexagonal-shaped tip.
Needle Nose
Pliers
Needle-nose pliers (also known
as pointy-nose pliers, long-nose
pliers, pinch-nose pliers or snipe-nose
pliers) are both cutting and
holding pliers used by artisans, jewellery
designers, electricians, network engineers
and other tradesmen to bend, re-position
and snip wire.
Wire Cutter

Diagonal pliers are pliers

intended for the cutting of
wire. The plane defined by
the cutting edges of the jaws
intersects the joint rivet at an
angle or "on a diagonal",
hence the name.
Tweezers
The fused tweezer is more
expensive, but allows for a stronger
grip. The width between the tips of
the tweezers when no force is
applied also affects how powerful
the grip is. Cross-
locking tweezers (aka reverse-
action tweezers or self-
closing tweezers) work in the
opposite way to normal tweezers.
